Torbole is located to the north of Lake Garda Trentino, at 67 meters above sea level. Over the years, this ancient village of fishermen and boatmen has become a tourist paradise for sports and spa lovers, relaxation and outdoor activities. For the quality of services, the wonderful beaches, attractions and beautiful landscape, it is one of the most popular destinations on Lake Garda. The small harbour is the most distinctive and frequently photographed corner, with the Casetta del Dazio (old Austrian Customs House). Torbole fascinated famous writers in the past, among them Goethe who described its winds as a marvel of nature. It inspired famous painters, including Hans Lietzmann from Berlin who made Torbole his second home. Garda Trentino is also synonymous with culture and traditions: medieval villages to explore, including the Tenno Canal and its historical re-enactments, the picturesque old towns like Riva del Garda, Arco and Tenno.
